Are you an experienced musician, percussionist, colour guard or dancer between the ages of 16-21? Join The Calgary Stampede Showband!
Auditions for the 2024-2025 season will be held on May 25 & 26 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Big Four Building. Auditionees are to register at the link above by May 24.
Eligibility
Membership is open to students between the ages of 16 and 21 from Calgary and the surrounding area. You should have past musical or dance experience, however marching experience is not necessary -– but you must have a strong desire to further develop your musical skills and showmanship. Annual fees cover uniforms, equipment, instruction and local travel. Annual tour costs are additional, but fundraising options are available.
A high level of commitment and dedication to the group is expected of all members. Rehearsals throughout the year take place on Tuesday evenings, as well as one full-weekend band camp each month. Prior to Stampede, a week of full-day rehearsals ensure that members are well prepared for the 10-day celebration.
